Good Shepherd

Who is our Good Shepherd? John 10: 11 “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” Jesus Christ is our Good Shepherd. He protects and guides His lambs through every trial. Even in our darkest valleys he will be there to guide us and see us through. We are the ones that can pull away. When we think about a shepherd we think about the Sheppard’s crook or staff. This rod is used to protect from predators as a defense, but it also has the hook to guide us back to the path and away from danger. Just as a shepherd will never leave the flock our Shepherd will never leave or forsake us.
